Facilities

Our premises are based in the main room of Culmstock Methodist Church. Inside there are specialist zones including a book/story corner, role-play section, a quiet area, ‘Problem Solving and Numeracy’ area and a creative ‘Graphics and Mark Making’ area.  Other areas will vary according to the activities planned for that session. Outside there is a fantastic covered yard for outside activities and a secure, enclosed garden. We have extensive equipment and resources.

Children help prepare their own snacks at snack-time and can attend lunch club at the setting.

Funding and Fees

Early Years Entitlement is available.  From the term after your child’s third birthday, all parents can claim up to 15 hours free childcare a week for up to 38 weeks (570 hours) per year during term time. Some2-year-olds are also eligible for 15 hours free childcare (please refer to the government website for further details).

If spaces are available your child can attend more than their 15 hour entitlement per week at a rate of £4.02 per hour (£10.05 per session). A full session (2.5 hours) must be booked.

Note that legislation has recently changed so that you may now be entitled to up to 30 hours free childcare (1,140 hours per year), if you meet the current government employment criteria. Please speak with staff who will be happy to advise if you qualify for this extra funding.

Lunch Club:  You may use your entitlement towards the lunch club, or you may wish to book the lunch club separately, in which case we charge £4.02 per lunch hour.

A child who has turned three after the start of a term usually will not qualify for the Early Years Entitlement until the start of the next term. Normal fees will apply during this period.

Fees are payable termly and invoices are sent out following each terms headcount week, Childcare vouchers are accepted.
